While working in Japan, an American reporter (Peter Dyneley) is sent to interview an eccentric Japanese scientist (Tetsu Nakamura) who is working on bizarre experiments in his mountain laboratory. When the doctor realizes that the hapless correspondent is the perfect subject for his next experiment, he drugs the unfortunate reporter and injects him with a serum that gradually transforms him into a hideous, two-headed monster (portrayed by George Wyman). Gives new meaning to that old romantic song, Put Your Head On My Shoulder. Also stars Jane Hylton (Peter Dyneley's actual spouse) and Terri Zimmern. Also with Norman Van Hawley, Jerry Itô, and Alan Tarlton.

This film was a co-production between the U.S. and Japan and is notable for its creative use of special effects and makeup.

This film was originally released in Japan in July of 1959 and later released in the U.S. on March 28th, 1962.

British actor Peter Dyneley spent his early years in Canada, but was educated at Radley College. He had dual nationality, Canadian and British, and also served with the Royal Canadian Navy in WW II. With his Canadian background, he often performed with an American accent, typically in both Thunderbirds (1965-66) and the cult horror film The Manster (1962). Peter died on August 19th, 1977, after a long battle with cancer. He was 56. His wife, actress Jane Hylton, died from a heart attack only a couple of years later, joining him on February 28th, 1979. She was 51.

The picture quality for this film is far superior to all other versions currently available elsewhere. Also included is the extended ending, which explains what legally might happen to the main character for all the murders he committed while under the evil doctor's influence, which is missing from all the generic bargain bin DVD releases of this film.

The Million Eyes Of Su-Muru

(1967)
$19.99 - Free Shipping In The USA
aka's: The Million Eyes Of Sumuru/The Slaves Of Sumuru/Sumuru Die Tochter Des Satans/Sumuru/The 1000 Eyes Of Su-Muru
In this world of international espionage, where loving men is against the law, the stunning Su-Muru (Shirley Eaton) is globally known as the most diabolical, bizarre and sadistic woman who ever lived. Her all-female, man-hating Amazon cult, kidnaps two CIA agents (Frankie Avalon and George Nader) as part of their plot for the destruction of all mankind. Klaus Kinski steps in with possibly the strangest role of his career, as the creepy homosexual president of Sinonesia, who gets turned into stone. Also stars Wilfrid Hyde-White and with Patti Chandler and Maria Rohm. (In Widescreen format).

Trivia: George Nader retired completely from acting in 1974 after sustaining an eye injury and developing glaucoma. Apparently, the injury made him particularly sensitive to the bright lights used on film sets. According to an interview in the German fanzine Splatting Image, the injury was the result of an accident during the production of a very limited released film titled Zigzag (1963), when a blank pistol round exploded too early and close to his eyes. Filming took place in the Philippines and no adequate treatment was taken in time, resulting in the partial loss of his eyesight.

Nader's longtime companion, Mark Miller, was actor Rock Hudson's personal secretary for nearly 13 years.

Despite the fact that Nader's career was more or less sabotaged by Universal Studios and sacrificed to the tabloids in order to save Rock Hudson's much more lucrative reputation, Hudson and Nader remained life-long friends, but never lovers. Nader was named as one of the beneficiaries of Hudson's $27 million estate when the actor died of AIDS in 1985.

After Nader was finished in films, he turned to writing. His 1978 novel Chrome broke major ground in that it was the first sci-fi thriller to have a homosexual theme (gay robots).

Stricken by multiple medical problems, Nader entered the hospital in September of 2001. He later died on February 2nd, 2002, at Woodland Hills, California from cardiac-pulmonary failure, pneumonia and multiple cerebral infarctions. He was 80.

NOTE: This film came from a widescreen import print in very nice picture quality and is currently the best English language version of this film available anywhere.

Mondo Cane 3

(1985)
$19.99 - Free Shipping In The USA
aka's: Mondo Cane Oggi - L'orrore Continua/ Savage World Today
Typically narrated in a racist and sexist fashion, the film starts by first showing different women around the world doing certain strange acts for common reasons. Other cultural oddities are observed, such as Hindu men jumping into a well to show their bravery, before moving on to government officials performing an autopsy to prove there are drugs hidden in the body. Cultural aphrodisiacs are shown, most involving killing animals in some way. Eventually, after an introduction of female impersonators, a graphic sex-change operation is shown in bloody detail, and finally begins to wrap up with forbidden tattooing in Japan, and more acts of "bravery" as men chop their own fingers off. A mondo-obscurity that is, like always, not for the faint of heart.

From a rare German import print.

Also stars Scatman Crothers.

This film came a widescreen 35mm German import print in very nice picture quality.

James Herbert, who wrote the novel upon which the film was based, was displeased with what the filmmakers did to his novel.

Thirty-five dachshunds and five terriers were used to play the mutant rodents in this film. The dogs had difficulty seeing in the rat costumes, so meat and blood was used to get them to run in the right direction in a given scene. At one point during filming, one of the dachshunds playing the rats died on set, possibly due to suffocation from being trapped in the rat suit. Although the dogs were generally treated well during production, this was an unfortunate exception.
