In ancient Crete, a monster (Milo Malagoli) called the Minotaur (half bull, half man) can only be satisfied by virgin sacrifices. The evil ruler of Crete is determined to keep the monster happy by sacrificing as many of the island's virgins as he can, but a pair of friends are determined to kill the monster and stop the sacrifices. Bob Mathias won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1948 Olympic Games in London. He later won a gold medal in the decathlon at the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki. Thus making him the first athlete to win consecutive titles in this event.


In 1954, Mathias and his ex-wife Melba Mathias, then married for 8 months, appeared together on the TV show You Bet Your Life (1950), which was hosted by Groucho Marx. They won the semi-finals, but missed the $1,500 question.


In 1996 doctors discovered a cancerous tumor in Mathias' throat. Ten years later, on September 2nd, 2006, he died from throat cancer. He was 75.


This film came from an uncut widescreen Italian import print in excellent picture quality. It is in English language, with English subtitles for the Italian language sequences.

When it was announced in the early 1980's that American audiences were returning to Jupiter via 2010, the Peter Hyams sequel to Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey, Toho decided to give Japanese audiences a trip of their own and make this film before 2010 was released.

On September 7th, 1951 Maria Montez was discovered drowned in her bath, possibly having first suffered a heart attack. She was 39 years old.

Naturally the clean-cut good guy is pitted against a black leather clad heavy. The film may be most interesting to TV buffs as it features a number of stars from popular 1970's sitcoms. It also marks the feature film debut of Patrick Swayze who plays the bad guy and proves himself to be a pretty good skater. Also with Scott Baio, Maureen McCormick, Flip Wilson, Ruth Buzzi, and 1980 Playmate of the Year Dorothy Stratten.


The picture quality for this extremely rare film is a bit soft, but still the best currently available anywhere.

Jean is a little slow in realizing that Zenobia is slowly killing her by taking her blood. Zenobia needs her blood to feed some plants. She uses the blossoms of the plants to make poison to kill cattle in order to drive away the local ranchers so she can buy all the land for cheap.

The Survivor goes in search of the underground city as he also goes in pursuit of Kragg and his men to rescue the woman.

Via a flashback we discover that Mr. Tiger killed Karen and Shelia's parents and stole their land to build both the prison and a secret laboratory where he plans to manufacture a new aphrodisiac drug that will turn all women into helpless sex slaves. The girls plan their escape from the camp and their ultimate revenge on Mr. Tiger.
