The young Ramon Salazar (Mario Custodio), son of a village owner, dreams of becoming a pearl fisherman. His father agrees to let him experience this job. Ramon enters a forbidden cave, den of a giant skate nicknamed the Manta Diablo. He finds an oyster containing a black pearl of unusual size. His father donates it to the Virgin rather than sell it to dishonest traffickers. Shortly after, the flotilla of the village led by Salazar perishes at sea. NOTE: This extremely rare film was one of many that were influenced by the summer blockbuster film Jaws (1975), which featured sea creatures that were blown out of proportion to monstrous size. This film featured a giant mechanical manta ray, similar in construction to the mechanical great white shark in Jaws, which was produced to cash in on the then current craze of sea monster films that flooded the market in the 1970's and 1980's.

Hud (Robert Vaughn) is an American who survived the Bay of Pigs Invasion and has sworn revenge against Fidel Castro. Many years later, Hud gets his chance when he is approached by Mr. Rossellini (Michael V. Gazzo), who blames Castro for the loss of his gambling enterprises when he had to leave Cuba, and the mysterious Mr. Bell (Raymond St. Jacques), who finances Hud for a mission to Cuba. Hud plans to bring a father-and-son pair of sharpshooters to kill Castro when he stays at a hotel on the Isla de Pinos. Through Rossellini, Hud hires bar owner and ship's captain Tony (Stuart Whitman) to bring his men ashore, but the enterprise is fraught with betrayal. Also stars Woody Strode. The warrior Deathstalker (Rick Hill) is tasked by an old witch to obtain and unite the three powers of creation - a chalice, an amulet and a sword - to deny the evil magician Munkar (Bernard Erhard) from using them for himself. After obtaining the sword, Deathstalker joins with other travelers going to a big tournament to determine the strongest warrior. The false king Munkar holds the true princess (Barbi Benton) in captivity and plots to have Deathstalker killed. Also with Lana Clarkson. Roger Corman was an uncredited executive producer.

This film was Playboy Playmate Barbi Benton's last film role and the last time she ever appeared in nude scenes. Afterwards, she only appeared in guest spots on TV shows.
On the morning of February 3, 2003, Lana Clarkson was found dead inside the Pyrenees Castle, the Alhambra, CA mansion of record producer Phil Spector. In the early hours of that morning, Clarkson had met Spector while working at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. Spector was tried for the murder of Clarkson in 2007. On September 26 of that year, a mistrial was declared due to a hung jury, with ten jurors of twelve favoring conviction. He was tried again for second-degree murder beginning on October 20, 2008. On April 13, 2009, the jury found Spector guilty of murdering Clarkson. On May 29, 2009, he was sentenced to nineteen years to life in state prison. Spector died in a prison hospital in January 2021.
