In Vietnam Norman Hopper (John Saxon) gets bitten by P.O.W. Charlie Bukowski (John Morghen), who has been infected with some sort of cannibal virus -- with dire consequences. A few decades later in Atlanta, Georgia, Norman wakes up from a nightmare flashback of what actually happened back in 'Nam. He then receives a call from Charlie asking him if he wants to go out for a drink but he refuses remembering the incident. Charlie has turned into a cannibal and is soon on the run after biting into a woman's neck. He barricades himself in a department store and shoots some folks with a shotgun. After a long search and encountering a few primitive tribes, Professor Moore finds the remains of the crew and several reels of their undeveloped film. Upon returning to the USA, Professor Moore views the film in detail featuring the travels of the director Alan Yates (Gabriel York), his assistant Faye Daniels (Francesa Ciardi), cameramen Jack Anders (Perry Pirkanen) and Mark Tomaso (Luca Giorgio Barbareschi) venturing into the jungles where the inexperienced, street-wise film group, after finding the indigenous tribes too docile for their film, decide to push them for kicks, with disastrous results.
