This film was Bela Lugosi's last screen apperance, for which he died of a heart attack in the middle of filming, on August 16, 1956. At the time of his death, Lugosi was in such poor financial straits that Frank Sinatra quietly paid for his funeral. Lugosi was buried in his full Dracula costume, including the cape.
