Mu-lin (Pauline Chan) finds herself sold to a brothel after her father is murdered. She begins to get involved with a fellow prostitute Yeh-Hong and her lover, the assassin Kim. Complications ensue when Mu-lin realizes that her new friends may be responsible for her father's death. (In Cantonese language, with English subtitles).
Pauline Chan committed suicide on July 31, 2002 by jumping to her death from the 17th floor of her apartment building. In an earlier press release she had blamed her mother for pushing her into films and the negative impact that it had on her life. She left behind a 3-week-old son.
