Inmates demanding better food and living conditions took 38 guards as hostage. Negotiations begin immediately, only to continually break down thanks to uncompromising stubbornness on both sides. Four days into the crisis, the rebellion ends in a bloodbath, with state troopers firing on the prisoners, killing several of the guards in the process. Based on the eyewitness reporting of the New York Times' Tom Wicker, who was one of the civilian negotiators during the stalemate. Stars Henry Darrow, Charles Durning and Joel Fabiani. Bambi Allen died of cancer on January 21, 1973 in Los Angeles, CA. She was 34 years old. It was speculated that her death was due to health complications brought about by silicone injections meant to increase her breast size.

This was one of Playboy Playmate, Dorothy Stratten's last screen appearances. On August 14th, 1980, Dorothy was shot in the face by her ex-husband Paul Snider. Afterwards, it was determined that he had intercourse with her dead body and then turned the gun on himself in a murder-suicide. Ironically, this film was released on the same day as her death in some states.

Albert Dekker would later die under mysterious circumstances. On May 5th, 1968, he was found bound and gagged, laying in his bathtub with obscene writing in red lipstick all over his body. Detectives later determined he apparently died, by accident, from self-inflicted auto-erotic asphyxiation.

Comes from an excellent 35mm upgraded print.

Girl With Long Hair shows how universal the look of 1970's softcore pornography was. It is populated by hipsters wearing aviator glasses and cool mustaches running after hot chicks with feathered Farrah Fawcett hairstyles and plastic jewelry. There are shag carpets on the floor and oil paintings on velvet on the walls. The decor uses the brightest colors available, especially international orange, a then ubiquitous shade that is now only seen on emergency equipment such as life jackets. The set designer and costume designer also used a lot of school bus yellow, fire engine red, and other bright, high visibility primary colors. At a picnic on the beach, Jan meets lifeguard Phil (Zack Taylor), who later sleeps with Chris and moves in with the other five. Phil brings in a lawyer, Elaine (Claudia Jennings).
